:: ELECTRIC HOIST
1. Be accustom with the commands, procedures and warnings of hoist operation.
2. Be sure the displacement of the hook is happening in the same direction indicated in the controls.
3. Be sure the end of course limiters of the hoist works correctly.
4. Stay with your firm feet in the ground, when operate the hoist.
5. Be sure the supports of the load or other approved devices have correct size and are well rested against the hook.
6. Be sure the safety restraint of the hook, if used, is shut and supports any part of the load.
7. Be sure the load is free for movement and its itinerary is free from obstructions.
8. Handle the current carefully, verify the balance of the load, lift it some inches and verify the load before continuing.
9. Avoids the oscillation of the hook load.
10. Be sure that the people are distant from the suspended load.
11. Inform the people when approaching with a load.
12. Protect the load current from weld sparkling and other polluting or harmful materials.
13. Communicate any bad operation, uncommon acting or damage of the hoist.
14. Inspect the hoist regularly, change the damaged or worn pieces.
15. Use pieces of replacement KOCH when it repairs the hoist.
16. Use restraints protection in the hook whenever possible.
17. Lubricate the chain load, as recommended in the manual.
18. Don't lift loads above the capacity.
19. Don't use the device load limiter to measure the load.
20. Don't use damaged hoists or hoists that are not working correctly.
21. Don't use the hoist with twisted, coiled, damaged or worn chain.
22. Don't lift the load unless the chain is perfectly seated in the pulley.
23. Don't use the load chain " to tie " the load.
24. Don't lift the load if there is some tie impeding the same load in all the chain sustention.
25. Don't apply the load hook top.
26. Don't operate the hoist unless the load is well centralized below the hoist.
27. Don't diverge your attention from the hoist operation.
28. Don't operate the hoist besides the chain course limits.
29. Don't use the course limiter as habitual interrupter switches operation. They are only emergency devices.
30. Don't use the hoist to lift, support or transport people.
31. Don't lift loads on the people's head.
32. Don't leave a disregarded suspended load unless specific precautions have been taken.
33. Don't allow strait contact among two hoist or between the hoist and obstructions.
34. Don't allow the chain or the hook be used as support for weld.
35. Don't allow the chain or the hook be touched by an electric current.
36. Don't remove or turn off the warnings of the hoist.
37. Don't adjust or repair the hoist, unless you are qualified to make the maintenance of the equipment.
38. Don't try to increase the length of the chain or repair a damaged chain.
39. Don't install or operate the hoist in risk places.
